Graduated from School of Architecture, CEPT, Ahmedabad in 1987. Internships with S R Fernando, Architects at Chennai and A D Raje, Ahmedabad. Started an independent practice with partner Pranay Deep in 1987.
Professional Interests
Specific interests range in the realm of domestic and institutional buildings and their complete environments. With an interest in national and global trends in technology, product design and fashion coupled with a personal interest in contemporary art and sculpture, the aesthetic design of space and form is as much a priority as its function and meaning. Professional philosophy includes the belief that women as equitable partners in the use of public and private space require representation in every architectural endeavour. A committed personal involvement and the belief that efficient and sustainable building environments necessitates solutions with good detailing, execution and client awareness, contributes to a collaborative design process between client and architect.
