Education & Training
Attended school at Mayo College, Ajmer. Studied Architecture at the School of Architecture, Centre for Environmental Planning & Technology (CEPT), Ahmedabad from 1979 to 1986. Design Studio under the guidance of eminent Swiss architect Professor Dolf Schnebli as an exchange student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zürich during 1983. Internship with the firm of F + M Panacek, Zürich. Travelled extensively across Europe exploring the architecture and urbanism in Italy, West Germany, East Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Employment & Work
In between the years of study at CEPT worked in the Vidyadhar Nagar Study Cell of the Vastu Shilpa Foundation under Architect B V Doshi when the Master Plan of the new township near Jaipur was being developed;
Worked on a competition project in the office of Architect Anant Raje in Ahmedabad;
After graduation, worked with Varun Sen & Associates, Jaipur from Sep '86 to Aug '87; Was the representative of Architect Charles Correa for the construction of Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur;
Started working independently as Shamini Shanker + Pranay Deep with Shamini Shanker Jain in 1987, undertaking architectural and interior architecture projects. Developed an interest and expertise in computers and capabilities in web design.

Design Chair Professor at Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur 2015-2020;
Visiting Faculty for Architectural Design at Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur;
Visiting Faculty at the Indian Institute of Craft & Design, Jaipur;
Design jury member at schools of architecture and at student design competitions.
